K-CON 2012
On October 13th , 2012, KCON is coming to California! So far they've announced 4-Minute, VIXX, and B.A.P (OMG!!!) as guests. There will be multiple workshops, merchandise, celebrity panels and autograph sessions (hmm...i have the feeling BAP is going to go MIA after i find them tee hee). I seriously cannot wait to go to this. I've never been to a convention before, this will be my first. I was a little hesitant at first to get tickets when they first went on sale because they had only announced VIXX and 4 minute, but once they announced BAP, i HAD to go ;).
Still plenty of tickets available, (http://www.livenation.com/event/09004916C2203FDF?crosssite=TM_US:1772144:73757) and the prices range from $40-$100. I like what they did, in that they said they wanted to give the chance for everyone to attend by making the prices affordable, and EVERYONE gets into the convention with a ticket, not just those who can afford the more expensive tickets. They're trying to bring out groups who haven't already been out here a lot. I myself am hoping for JJ Project and Nu'est. B.A.P was on the top of my list for groups i wanted to see that i haven't yet, so i'm totally stoked to be seeing them next month!

Woollim Ent. new group "Tasty" mmmhmmmm...
Ah, ...New K-Group under the name of "Tasty", i've also seen them reffered to as "Tasty 2wins" (which frankly...i just feel wrong trying to look THAT up, know what i mean? >.< ) but i really feel they picked a good name for them :) Twin brothers Jung Daeryong and Jung Soryong debut in the new group Tasty under Woollim Entertainment. (By the way, i call dibs on Daeryong (the one on the right)). I finally watched their new music video for "You Know Me" and i absolutely love it. My only thing is i feel that at 1:52 the groove of the song is killed slightly, but that is just my own personal preference. Still, i love it and i can't wait to see where these guys go!
Intro
Hmmm....so ...i've never done the blog thing so forgive me if it sucks lol. I am a stay at home mom of 5 kids...and i am totally addicted to Kpop and everything Korean :) . My addiction began about 4 years ago...My Aunt lent me the drama Goong (The Palace, aka Princess Hours) to watch....i was skeptical,...i hated reading subtitles, but gave it a shot...loved it. Then she lent me Full House with Rain. I decided to look him up online...came across his music video "I'm Coming"...and that was it, i was hooked, immediate addict ;) and it's been an obsession ever since.
In general, when it comes to my music tastes, i really don't care for ballads. I like stuff i can dance to. Now, there are some slow songs i absolutely love....but for the most part, i dig the upbeat stuff, and LOVE techno (just so you know where i'm comin from). My favorite groups/artists: Super Junior, U-Kiss, Rain, Lee Jun Ki, B2ST, Big Bang, B.A.P., JJ Project, C.N.BLUE, etc. My Bias': Lee Donghae is my number 1. Eli Kim number 2, followed closely by Kim Himchan (B.A.P.) and Im JaeBum (JJ Project) after that, there is no order, too many to choose KKKK.
I love not just Kpop, but korean food, people, culture, all of it. I love learning about other cultures. I have taken a korean language class at the Korean Cultural Center in Los Angeles, CA. Guess i should also say i live in the states, and no, i'm not korean, i'm just a white girl who loves Kpop :) I LOVE Bulgogi...everytime we go to a korean food place i order bulgogi, i know there's other good stuff out there, but i just love my bulgogi kkkk. I love spicy rice cakes, (dukkbokki) kimchi (omg, i was scared to try it the first time i saw it,...but i've been addicted ever since) , i love water kimchi, korean pancakes, and so many other things!
For me , Music is life. I couldn't survive without it. If i'm having a crummy day, i throw on some music. To cheer myself up i watch music videos. There's almost nothing that music can't fix :)
Anyhow, yeah :) that's about it for now. This is just a spot for me to write out my kpop madness and for anyone who wants to follow.
